As a volunteer, you can contribute to the community by publishing news articles and sharing educational resources.
Contributing News
If you have permissions to publish news:
- Navigate to the News section
- Click "Create News" or "Add Article"
- Write your article using the rich text editor
- Add any attachments (images, documents, videos)
- Submit for review or publish (depending on your role)
News Article Features
- Rich Content - Format text, add images, embed videos
- Attachments - Add documents, audio, or additional media
- Source Links - Credit original sources
- Status Tracking - Draft, published, or archived
Adding Resources
Share educational resources with the community:
- Go to the Resources section
- Click "Add Resource"
- Select the resource type:
- Document (PDF, Word, etc.)
- Video
- Image
- Audio
- External Link
- Add title, description, and tags
- Select the appropriate category
- Submit for approval
Earning Points
You earn reward points for contributions:
- Publishing News - Points awarded when your article is published
- Adding Resources - Points awarded when your resource is approved
- Receiving Upvotes - Points when others upvote your content
Note: If content is deleted within the forfeit window (typically 72 hours), points may be revoked.
Voting on Content
Engage with other volunteers' contributions:
- Upvote - Support quality content (you earn points too!)
- Downvote - Flag low-quality content (costs you points)
- Comment - Add to the discussion
